How do I fix driver side rear directional light?

Asked by Feb 08, 2014 at 01:29 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban LS 1500 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Directional light in front and on side view mirror blink fast. Rear light does not work.
I replaced bulb in rear and fuse in fuse box. Both the replaced bulb and the fuse looked
fine. Still does not work. Next step?

Sounds like the socket is bad. You can get a new "pigtail", as it's called, at your local auto parts store. Simply cut the old socket off and, using butt connectors and heat shrink tubing, splice the new pigtail on. HTH. -Jim
