Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car would not start the other day so I had it
jump started. Then that night as I was on the
highway it got really hot and the speedometer was
not working. Then the power steering fluid
indicator came on. I dont know what it is? Anybody
have suggestions please.

Sounds like multiple problems. If it wouldn't start because the battery was dead then either you left something on that killed the battery, or there are loose or dirty electrical connections or you need a new battery. Have the battery load tested and make sure the main connections are tight. If gauges speedometer and steering were acting up and the car wasn't actually overheating then that's another sign of a possible worn out battery. It's happened to my car. Make sure the radiator is full of coolant though. As for power steering fluid your car doesn't have any so you don't need to worry about that. The light simply indicated that the power steering has failed. If the light goes off again it means the steering is working again. Again probably a weak battery.
