Swap engines from 2009 cobalt to a 2008 cobalt?

cobalt in a 2008 cobalt

As long as they are both 2.2's I believe you can. It's possible you may need to change some sensors if they aren't the same for both years, I doubt that GM was making many, if any changes to the cars year to year at that point though.
