Hey there, I have a 2008 Dodge Nitro R/T 4.0 V6 with 176,811 miles.  Recently, whenever I run the car for a little bit and shut it off (like to get gas or get something to eat) the next time I go to start it, it will idle really rough, the check engine light will come on and it will feel like it's running on 5 cylinders.  I was told that it was a bad spark plug or coil.  Well I replaced all coils and plugs last year.  Naturally, when I take it to a shop, they cannot get the car to act up or throw any codes.  Any idea where I could start looking for a solution?  Fuel injectors? Fuel pump or filter maybe? I just wanted to see if anyone else had a similar experience.  Any input would be great, thank you!

I have a 07 nitro and am having the exact same problem. It will start up fine idel fine and about 10 or 15 minutes start acting up like it's not fireing on all the plugs or cielenders. Or like it's not getting good fule pressure . But when I check the pressure at the rail it's seams to be ok. Squarts gas out great .I checked all the plugs all are ok . Idk about the coils . Could be one or more may be going bad but idk. Anyone that can help please let me know if you have same problem and have figured it out. Thank you for your time. From a Dad that bought this for his sons b day first car!!

Had the same problem with my 2007 nitro thought it was a fuel filter as it was idling rough or miss firing at random times. It turned out to be a bad injector
