The SSC Ultimate Aero managed to reach a top speed just under 3mph faster than the Veyron. Look it up.

I gess u dont live in America cas wipped Germany's *ss. Nah jussplayin but yeah the last guy is right. The SSC is "supposedly" 3 mph faster @ 256 but I was on the website Shelbysupercars.com and was looking at the gear ratios and end speeds. Turns out in last gear its acually capable of 272. It just ran out of road when doing the Guiness Recoord Run.

a lot of cars are faster than a bugatti veyron, but the ssc is the only production car that'sz faster than the veyron.

so Lamborghini is still Italian although Audi owns them? BTW im not being sarcastic I really meant that.

75

No shit columbus. Volkswagen AG owns Audi, Lambo, Bentley, Bugatti, Seat, Skoda etc. but you know what who cares? car origin by country is determined by the location of manufacturing. therefore, Bugatti is french, Lambo is italian, Seat is spanish, skoda is czech, bentley is british, etc.

105

no need for the sarcasm but ok.

it's really not even a sure thing that the Bugatti ever beat the Koenigsegg CCX, because Bugatti tested on a strait track, and Koenigsegg tested on a circuit. But this matter really resolved itself with the addition of the CCXR. All this hype over the Bugatti is really nothing at all

105

Thats a very good observation. So by any chance do you think the Base CCX is actually faster than the Bugatti (Top speed I mean cas it already won in the quarter mile @ 9.9)

35

er it is not a converible

the SSC might be faster but it is not quicker off the line...

265

i was tlking bout the new model which the glass roof is removable making it a convertible, http://www.bugatti.com/en/home/news.html?newsId=72

265

hard to say but i think it could be

15

in a quarter mile track or even one mile straight its not top speed that matters but acceleration.

15

so to test a top speed you need about 3 miles of straight track otherwise handling, acceleration out of turns etc etc start coming in to play. but the ssc is way faster than a veyron. veyron is more on the luxury market though. (veyron = $1 750 000, ssc = $275 000) so its a difference of 1.5 million.

35

thers a new one oh

265

its called the the roadster buggati veyron 16.4 grand sportl, long name but same performance jus a few little additions

35

oh wow i am

265

if u paid any attention to the topic we're talking about top speed not acceleration.

15

unless the track is long enough to let both cars reach their top speed, acceleration plays a big part. and i do pay attention btw.

335

not proven but Barabus TKR is soposibly going to break the record

155

0-60 the Ariel Atom beats them all. That little booger is fast. Top end isn't all that, though.

75

yes a plane

145

speed is relative... A mclaren f1 will beat the bug for the fist little while in a drag race... and there are cars with a higher top speed... It depends on how you rate "faster"

25

it depends also on what buggatti u mean. if you mean the super sport, then theres not much out there that can match the speed, acceleration, handling or just power that the 2 twin turbo w12 engines produce. there are but one car that i can think or know of and thats the Koenigsegg CCXR but Koenigsegg have only produced 4 of these cars we will never know for real. in a 1/4mile maybe round a track no. the buggatti has to much grip.. but the Koenigsegg CCXR would defiantly put up a good fight

25

Yes the new FZX-REVOLUTIONARY

45

Koenigsegg agera R has the best acceleration in the world, its acceleration is better than the bugatti veyron supersport.

define " faster " ! 0 - 60 ? TOP SPEED ? AROUND A PARTICULAR TRACK ? by ( ANYTHING ) , I'm assuming you mean a stock factory automobile . it gets beaten to 60 by some , to 100 by some , to 150 by some . and its various track times are often bested !

25

check out the veyron supersport

5

a top fuel dragsters is more faster

1,105

The Veyron supersport does a max of 265mph

525

2009 Mosler MT900 GTR XX Twin Turbo Land Shark GM LS7 engine 381 cubic inch plant 2,500 horsepower estimated TopSpeed-305 mph+ (491 km/h)

5

ya, the ss aero has a speed recorded faster than bugatti, but bugatti veyron will be the ultimate forever!
