Question type: Maintenance & Repair

came out of the blue never happened before, start car engine light comes on go to turn the car off it runs still but as if it was like an older car with pre-ignition turn key back on runs fine, drives fine, when you can finally get it to turn off sounds like you shut down a power house. when it is off engine light stays on very dim and left over time kills the battery. ? ignition switch ? maybe

Had this fixed by chevy after several days of them looking for the problem cost me $1250.00 dollars for labor and a fuse box replacement what a rip off. Put the top guy on it for electronics looking to find the problem and he doesn't go for the fuse box as the first thing, I don't get it! Anyway the cowling cracked below the windshield allowing water to bypass it where they found a firewall seem silicone tear allowing water to get under the dash board and filled up the fuse box which has a cap on it and shorted many electrical systems together. Don't know if this should have been a recall being that the seem cracks on these vehicles.
