Mitsubishi eclipse 2008 top hydraulic hinges leaking

Asked by Gabriel Mar 30, 2022 at 07:00 PM about the 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I haven't been able to electronically lower my top in months and it's
frustrating. I checked and apparently I have a leak of hydraulic fluid coming
from the hydraulic rotary actuator (pretty sure that's the name). It basically
looks like a large aluminum block that has hydraulic cables attached to it and
other hinge parts to the convertible frame attached. Can anyone tell me
where I can find this part? I've looked everywhere, dealers don't have it

You can but it at tophydrualics.com. It is a left or right main hydraulic hinge, I would recommend replacing both cause if one seal sent the other will go soon if not as soon as you replace this one. You can send in yours and have them rebuilt for 275 a piece or you can buy one already rebuilt and send yours in once you get them off for 325 a piece. They rebuild with better seals then OEM and should last longer than the original ones.
