Making the car faster.

So i have a 2008 toyota corolla LE. Is there anyway
of making the car faster? Would switch out the
ECU for a toyota matrix xrs ECU? Would that make
the car faster?

Yes, take it up in a cargo plane and shove it out the door at altitude. It will be faster for a minute or two. Maybe consider buying a faster car? It IS a Corolla you know and they are not made for speed. You will only get minor HP gains unless you use forced induction. Forced induction (turbo or supercharger) would cost more than the value of the car.

Bob's right, it's just a Corolla, doing any kinda of mods to this car means that you will need to upgrade suspension, brakes, exhaust, all the mounts for the engine and tranny, it's just not worth the cost of doing it right. If you want to go faster then buy a car designed to go fast.

Yes there is a way to make it faster but you would need a lot of money to have a race shop build you an engine. After you spent $10,000 on it, it would be slower than a stock Mustang.
