headlight at night time stays on even when light switch is put in park or in off position.

Do both lights stay on or just one? If it is just one you probably have a wire in the headlight plug on the offending side in the wrong position. If both lights are staying on it's more than likley the headlight switch.

that's your auto night time on function, and DRL....it'll always be on.
