I have a 2008 Buick Lucerne drain battery

I have a 2008 Buick Lucerne the fuse wire for the
fuel pump shorted out, so I jumped from the fuel
pump fuse to a rap fuse section. It worked for three
months, but now my battery doesn’t hold a charge.
Can someone tell me what’s going on. Did I harm
my alternator in doing this?

it has to be hooked up the way it was designed , if the alt. had to deal with a weak batt. then it may have a foot in the grave

GM Bulletin for need of low profile fuse relay. I ended up replacing whole fuse box (fuse relay melted box) that is located under the back seat and trimming the seat brackets as stated in the bulletin. Also had parasitic drain on our battery. I removed the fuse for ONSTAR which is also located in the back seat fuse box. Have not had problem with battery drain since.
