My car won't start.. it was just running fine an I
turned it off for about 5min.. came back to turn it
on an nothing won't start NOTHING like it's dead
but it did this 2 days ago and I had to sit for about
30min & it started back up.. I just got a thermostat
put in an got it flushed out
Thermostat won't have anything to do with it not cranking. Check battery cables for corrosion and make sure they're tight
If there is corrosion how would I get it off?
Wire brush, elbow grease and in severe cases a lot of scraping.
If that doesn't work should u get another battery
If it's on the battery post, it should clean up with wire brush, if it's on the cables, replace them
Wash everything down with baking soda. That works real well. Before you get all carried away with cleaning though, have your battery load tested. It sounds like its on its last legs.
Same problems, install a new voltage regular, new wires and plugs
Elliot why would you replace those if it is dead electrically? You need to focus on battery, cables, power on the crank terminal at the starter and the starter.
