I have a 2008 Grand Prix, and more and more often , the accelerator pedal is sticking , and I have to really stomp on it to accelrate, then of course it really accelerates. What gives?

3.8 V6 or 5.3 V8? anyways was shopping for a new accelerator assembly from rockauto~ tricky to get google to match ya~

I see it now...you just got a latte and it was hot...and suddenly a dog or cat got in front and the drink went flyin...onto the accelerator pedal...just cannot see how the pedal can get stucky like that~
