My 2008 Grand Prix will stop ahifting gears after I've driven it for about 15-20 minutes . It will slow up . I have to shut off engine let Trans cool then drives normally ? What's needed to repair?

Have the trans serviced, with a new filter and fluid, before trying to diagnose the issue. Make sure that the trans coolant lines are blown out to clear any blockage.
