A computer analyzes your driving style and computes oil change needs based on mileage and other factors. If it were me I would ignore the computer and use an interval that suits the use you give the car. Perhaps every 5,000 miles with synthetic.

Thanks bro I had two oil changes and a major tune up just the other week so it's kinda odd this pop up ...I use the car for uber so i keep it up

Check you owners manual, uber driving is considered severe use so adjust your servicing accordingly and make sure you check the oil level every day before start up. Some rigs don't respond well with full synthetic oils after they have been running conventials most of their life, if it doesn't start consuming or leaking then you should be fine.

The car does not know when the oil has been changed. There is a reset for the oil change message but you will have to check your owners manual for that.

Thank you it's had its maintenance .. Had a major tune up last week plugs and oil change etc so I don't need to go to jiffy lube right ?

It sounds like they forgot to reset your oil life % meter when they serviced it. Recheck the oil level and reset the meter yourself or take it back and have them do it.

I would not change the oil again if it has been a short while. Does the oil still look clean and is the oil level full?

How can I tell if it's clean ? The oil stick thing ?

The color of the oil on the dipstick will have a slight gold color to it, dirty oil will be dark or blackish brown in color.
