I keep blowing a fuse for the ecm/tcm on a 2008 Chevy Impala Ss what could be the problem

Check the wiring harness where it goes through the firewall, there have been some problems there of shorted wiring or loss of communication codes that this causes. If you don't find any thing there then disconnect the ECM and replace the blown fuse, if it doesn't blow then the ECM is internally shorted. HTH
