I hit the ditch with my 07 ram 2500 and plowed my way out but now it won't shift into 4th what could it be

I'd only be guessing where I'm sitting. Best to park it in a warm place and let the snow and ice melt and look to see if you have any leaks or anything is bent or broken. You already know it's trans related.

Sounds like you may have damaged the shifter linkage. HTH. -Jim
