2008 Mercury Mariner EGR Sensor

Asked by GuruYK465 Jul 11, 2019 at 06:44 AM about the 2008 Mercury Mariner Premier

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced my EGR sensor on my 08 Mariner.  But the check engine
light didn't go off. I had it scanned again. And it said to replace the same part.
Should I be looking to replace the valve and solenoid too??

Just because a trouble code points to the EGR sensor doesn't mean the sensor is bad. It tells you there is something going on in the EGR system. The problem needs to be properly diagnosed by someone that has experience.
