Chevy silverado cranks but will not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tryst to crank over just wont start. Fuel pump is
sounding also.. unhooked battery and plugged
back in but same thing. When turn the key it
sometimes does nothing turn again immodestly
and cranks but no turn. It's done this before but I've
got lucky from time to time any ideas on whAt to
try next. New battery have checked fuses..

Check for proper fuel pressure some vehicles are particular , just having it won't do , yours may be one .

maybe problem with ignition switch? If it cranks good but won't start, check spark--proper fuel pressure--fuel injector pulse--applicable trouble codes? What about security system? Just a few things to check.
