how do change a thermostat on a 2000 dodge dakota quad cab v6
my old plow truck just started to over heat and does not seem to have coolent flow .
blows cold air no matter what the engine temp.I beleive this is the thermostat .This truck
is a yard truck so it sits for a week or two at a time before i use it .
thermostat sits on the top of the intake and is under the upper radiator hose neck unfortunately if it has A/C its buried behind it as well as the alternator...getting it out is no issue but cleaning the gasket off the intake sucks ....so if you don't have the tools to scrape it clean you may have to remove the A/C compressor off to do so ...once done you will have to bleed the system when you fill it
