You have to press with a reasonable amount of pressure on the brakes to activate a switch. Once the switch is activated, current is sent to a solenoid that releases the shift lock. If either the shift lock or the switch is not working properly, you will not be able to get the vehicle out of park. Usually it's the brake pedal switch... check it for proper adjustment.

Yeah Judge...I'd be annoyed too, if I couldn't get my car out of park! Yeesh!

...so much can be accomplished with a pair of "dikes" (diagnal cutting pliers)~...NOT critical to the function of the vehicle, but critical if you're a dope and slam it into gear while still moving~

you could write a book on nullifying the safety things...pull out the airbag fuses...dike the seatbelt recognition sensors....functions with the brake switch...I'm writing a dirty novel here and should stop now before legal proceedings manifest themselves~

When I’m in drive and I push my brake why does it still want to move and when I put it in park my rpms go to 3g
