Check for broken wiring in the tunnel between the door and the body, if that is indeed where it is replace the entire wire set by pulling through one wire at a time and then solder and shrink wrap each end, don't short cut it by just soldering the broken part as you will be right back in there in short order doing it over due to the flex the wiring goes through.
Ugh im so bad with wiring. I can take apart almost anything and put it back together. How much do you think it would cost at a shop?
When I had my shop it ran about 150 bucks, but that was years ago, today I think more along 250 to 300 if they replace all the wiring. Stay away from the dealer as they will really put it too you.
