How do I repair the driver's heated seat?

The passenger heated seat works fine (both on low and high setting) but the driver's side doesn't work at all.  The switch lights up and is connected so I'm figuring the heating element has gone bad.

Just had the garage replace the heating element in the seat. They were telling me the whole seat needed to be replaced but they ended up ordering a new element. ty
