2006 3.5 L rotation direction of motor, clockwise or cc facing front of the motor
what is the correct way to rotate the motor to recheck the timing alignment.
2nd question, when installing timing belt right cam timing gear mark right on,
left cam timing mark 1 line width off to the left of the mark, and crank mark is
right on, tried to align 6 times always comes out the same.
is this ok thanks
Please send a picture. Looking at front of motor. The crank turns clock wise. Here is a trick align them up then use a paint marker and mark the belt and gear that are lining up the same color. The mark the gear only where they don't line up. Then mark the belt where the mark should be. Take the belt back off then line up all marks on gear to marks on belt when you put belt back on. Their you you should find all marks align up
Always to the right,,
Do what I say that the marks will line up
Don;t forget put on the 1st cylinder/piston at TDC...TOP DEAD CENTER....after that and before take off the time chain check if each color point match...with each point...go to manual repair book always...find some illustration about it and fallow instructions.
