what can cause #1 cylinder to misfire

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Things that can are low compression, spark plug, spark plug wire, coil, injector or valves. I would check the easy things first like plugs and wires. One good way to check for bad wires is to do the following. Get your car into a totally dark garage. Have car running and look under hood for any spark leaks. Use a plastic handle screwdriver and gently move wires around to try to recreate a spark leak.
