Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car was making a loud humming noise. It started up and then died. All the lights and gauges are working and my battery is only a year old. Any idea what this could be??

There are a lot of complaints from these Charger owners regarding humming noises, usually under acceleration. That may have been the center support for the drive shaft and/or u-joint. That however won't keep a car from cranking or starting. You'll have to follow basic "won't crank/start" troubleshooting to determine what is going on there. If the driveshaft bearing froze up, I can see it causing your car to stall when it was in gear, but in park or neutral it should still start.
