My brake lights stay on and kill my battery

Sounds like your brake light switch is stuck on. Try "pumping" the brake pedal several times. If that makes them go out, switch is bad. Also, if your cruise control is not working, switch is bad. The switch is located near the top of the brake pedal assembly. It will have one or two electrical connectors plugged into it. Unplug them, for testing purposes only, if brake lights now go out switch is bad. That's, of course, if the above tests fail to make them go out. HTH. -Jim

dont keep switch disconnected you will have no brake lights then,
