2003 infinity G35
I got a reading and it came up to change the Bank 1 camshaft sensor. I
changed the sensor and my service engine soon light is still on. I got another
reading and it still says the same thing that the bank 1 sensor needs to be
changed. What is wrong? What do I do now.
O2 sensor codes don't always indicate that the sensor is faulty. So you have another issue. Check for vacuum leaks and the fuel injectors on that side, here is some more help...http://helpforcars.net/obd_codes/p0420_infiniti.html
Thanks Tom But I also forgot to mention that the car still takes about 2 or three seconds to start when I turn the key. Will the information you have given me solve this problem also?
Gl carter you said you had a camshaft position code,Tom misread your post and thought you had an 02 sensor code.Which side of the car was the cam sensor on that you changed?I had the same code about six months ago and a new cam sensor fixed the problem. If I recall correctly the camshaft sensor banks are on opposite sides as most cars. You have one on each side on the back of the motor.I think mine was bank 1 also and on the passenger side, most rwd cars that have two cam sensors consider bank 1 driver side.
