HOW TO CHANGE TRANSMISSION FILTER

The filter is inside the transmission and not a maintenance item. Just drain the fluid by removing the fill plug. 4 qts. will drain out. Reinstall the plug and add 4 qts to the trans via the dipstick tube. I do this every 15K on my Tribute which uses the same trans as the Mariner.
