Comes on at a certain temperature.

The radiator fan should kick in once the temperature reaches a certain level.

The radiator fan comes on as soon as the ECM detects the coolant at a preset temperature. It should turn off when the coolant temperature goes below the preset temperature. Both fans will turn on when your turn on the AC.
