2001 BMW x5 no crank not even a click, wont start
Car was fine, nothing wrong but time to do fluid change ,jacked up the front and did the change .now car wont crank not even a click in steering wheel but i do hear the rear relays power. had a new battery installed ,even bought a new key fob. checked all fuses under hood ,glove box ,rear, all good. gm mechanic said i should check alarm system and reset? Everything works but wont start
You probably wouldn't get anything if the alarm system was locking you out. Maybe a starter?
i was told it might be my tilt sensor, when i jacked it up only in the front of the car instead of lifting both ends ,i only had one jack. , i cant find the starter,i tried to undo the skid plate and when i started to loosen the bolts it looks like its attached to some bushings ?
It appears the starter is attached to the bottom left of the engine (looking from the front of the car) on your M62 V8, sort of near the middle, just above the oil pan. There are tilt sensors incorporated in the EWS (BMW's immobilizer system), but I think once you unlock the car and put the key in, you should be able to get the car started and everything without a problem. Look up "EWS" on Bimmerfest. Lots of information over there, if you think that it may have something to do with this problem.
hey hi, t imma check that out today :) ill let you know kisses
Did you ever find the problem?
