Setting up my keyless remote

I have a 2008 V6 Lincoln LS when I try
to reset it by turning my key 8 times it
does not cycle. Is there anything else I
can do to set my remotes

Turn ignition from OFF to RUN without cranking the engine 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending in RUN all the doors will lock and unlock, then press a key on your fob in 20 seconds.
