my 02 lincoln ls will run very rough after starting

Asked by Dec 11, 2013 at 11:34 PM about the 2002 Lincoln LS V6 Convenience

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The previous owner changed all the plugs,  all the coils,  the intake gasket.  The initial problem was it overheated.  But I thought they shut themselves off to avoid damage.

I'd suspect the IAT sensor https://www.google.com/#q=2002+Lincoln+LS+V6+IAT+sensor&tbm=shop

If the water was not drained and 50/50 etylene glycol/de-ionized water mix put in there the coolant loop could be corroded with obstructions~ if this is the case have your cooling system flushed and replaced with the proper mix~

I will try both and let you know. thank you.
