Need help removing intake manifold on 05 ls V8

Asked by May 30, 2015 at 08:22 PM about the 2005 Lincoln LS V8 Ultimate

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I broke an intake manifold bolt. I have removed everything I can see to get the manifold
out but something in the back is still connected. I removed the two bolts that hold the
wiring harness back there but I'm missing something.

Hello, Besides the mirage of vacuum hose and electrical connectors, and hold downs, don't forget the EGR connector...its the real pain. Hope this Helps, AskTrannyMan

Can you enlighten me a little about this EGR connector.

Hello,... I knew I would get in trouble... If I remember that long ago,...I think it was a metal line that attached to a plate w/2 bolts that held it flush to the back/bottom corner of the intake... Hope this Helps, AskTrannyMan

One 10mm nut on back of intake that let wiring harness loose. Now to remove the broken stud.
