How do I get tranny fluid to temp to fill tranny fluid 05 Lincoln Ls

I have an 05 Lincoln ls. Want to fill tranny fluid myself, just wondering how am I supposed
to get the fluid to temperature in order to fill it?

Did you just drain it and nothing is in the trans? If so, add about the amount you drained and start the car and let it run till it warms up, about 10mins. Then check the fluid level after shifting through the gears and add a small amount at a time till you are in the cross hatch area.
