Asked by Jul 13, 2015 at 09:03 PM about the 2006 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My back window wont roll down using the key, or my alarm button that when pressed will
roll it down. it will however roll down manually using the button inside on the dashboard.

I meant new motor.

Thanks for the reply Molly- I was actually looking at some other sites about this problem and came across the below. I just tried it and it worked!! Stoked! "I recently changed my battery as well. Whenever you change a battery or disconnect the negative, you have to set up the auto feature for the windows. Roll your window halfway down, and then roll it back up, holding that button for an additional second. It's in the manual about the auto feature for all the windows. After you are able to roll down the windows automatically, you should be able to use that button with the remote."
