I lost the key to my 2006 VW Beetle Convertible. Went to a dealer and ordered a replacement and used the key portion to open the door to make certain I hadn't locked the "lost" key in the car. Nope. Not there. But, now I can't close the door because the window didn't scoot down like normal because I didn't use the unlock button on the key since it hasn't been programmed yet. Help?

Try putting the key in door and unlock/hold key over, the windows will go down. Then lock/hold key over and the windows should go up. Then press unlock button on fob remote for 30 secs, you have now reset the alarm and the windows to comfort mode. Leave car alone for a few mins then try opening door as usual with remote.
