Battery light goes on for shot time then off
My 2000 Dodge Gran Caravan Battery Warning light goes on for a brief period and then
goes off. Vehicle starts and runs ok. Should I be concerned?
Check the serpentine belt. If it's old you might want to replace it. If this mainly happens under wet conditions the belt is most likely getting wet and slipping. If the belt checks out ok have a look at the battery cables. The connections there should be clean and tight. If you see any corrosion clean them and put Vaseline on the cable connections at the battery to prevent them from corroding again. HTH. -Jim
could be the voltage regulator have the alternator tested
