2002 Ford explorer
My 2002 Ford explorer went off the
road and bounced around and
turned off and now it cranks but
won't start. Can someone please
tell me what the problem is?
The fuel inertia switch has tripped. If you have the owner's manual you can find out where it is and reset it. The fuel inertia switch is a safety device that disrupts power to the electic fuel pump in the event of an accident to prevent raw fuel from being pumped on the ground causing a fire. you'll find the reset switch under the passenger side glove box area on the right side near floor.
