what would happen if you were going really slow and you put your car in park while moving

will damage the gearbox, if you did, you will of notice a click click click hard sound. maybe you re lucky and nothing happen.

I have seen the parking pawl break, the tailshaft parking cog shear off a piece, even the tailshaft itself break and in turn destroy the transmission tailshaft housing. So there is my 2 cents worth.


Sounds like you may have did it, so lets ask the obvious question. What problem are you experiencing, if any. If the car operates as before and you only heard a loud clicking when you did it, you're probably lucky.
