2004 ford explorer will not start not even a click sound.
My mechanic had to jump start the s cable on the starter to get it going. He
thinks that since I am locked out by the ignition, it maybe an ignition switch
problem. What do you think it might be in you professional opinion.
It is not uncommon for the electrical part of the ignition to go bad (try taking it out and try to jump start the car like in the movies with a couple of paperclips, usually you join the yellow and red and just touch and let go the purple on the red - the purple one is for the starter - the colors might vary check with the electrical diagram from the repair manual - also, key must be in the ignition in case you have an imobiliser and the 2004 expl has it). But before this complicated job, try the starter's relay and fuse/s. :)
