Be sure its turned the correct position and do not force it and be sure it is the same as the original sensor removed from it. look down in there to be sure nothing slipped in there blocking it.

Thank you, What's happening is if I put new o-ring on old sensor the clip goes in but not with new sensor they look the same. Going to go back to parts store an check part(sensor).

May be a little different the wide lip above the o'ring but below the clip slot if its the same, may just need to put a little more on it, but try no to break it but if the brass above o'ring is the same spec. Maybe turn it back and forth.

I am having the same problem.... I can't get the new sensor in... The old one comes out fine, but can't get the new one in and the clip on it... I feel like i am going to break it if i push any harder... How do i get this new sensor in and the clip back on? Am i doing something wrong? Please help....

Look at both the new and old one side by side, the section before the clip that has to be inserted far enough into the engine to get the clip on, see if that raised area is thicker/wider than the old one if so take it back and the old one to match it up with correct one.

If its the same rock it back and forth as you get almost seated it should go on in.
