when i turn on the 66 mustang ignition to start it all i get is a click at the alternator regulator.

This car has been sitting for about 7 years. The starter relay is ok but somehow the electricity is not getting to the relay. when I turn on the ignition to start I get a click in the alternator regulator.

if its charged and the relaly is good..do you have power from the ign switch to the little s terminal on the solenoid? did you jump the solenoid ? if yes starter is bad
