1973 Mustang Convertible trim

Asked by May 08, 2015 at 10:12 AM about the 1973 Ford Mustang Base Convertible

Question type: General

I saw a 1973 Mustang convertible for sale in which one of the pictures show some screws
attached to the driver's door.  Any clues what are they for?  I had never seen something
like that.

Someone must have added them for something in the past. That isn't from the factory. Possible to relocate the mirror or add another?

Looks like snap fastners for somekind of cockpit / tonneau cover, similar to the picture below.
