Is there anywhere online that I can find the market value of a 1986 Ford Mustang LX, 2-door, 4-cyl., based on it's condition and features?
I am trying to find the current market value of my 1986 Ford Mustang LX, 2-door sedan, 4-cyl. engine for IRS purposes. It is being used as a "daily driver," when it is running, so it should not be valued as a "classic" car. I cannot find any place online that either 1) rates 1986 vehicles, or 2) rates vehicles older than 1990 according to their condition, features, mileage, etc. and not as a classic car. Please advise me!
It's probably only worth $800-1000K tops. Though if there isn't any rust and super clean, it might be a tad more to a person looking for a shell to throw a V8 into it. Ebay is a good indicator of the going prices. Be sure to look at what the cars sell for vs the asking prices.
I use NADA for my pricing ruide. Here is the link to get the values on your car; http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Cars/1986/Ford/Mustang-LX/2-Door-Sedan/Values See how that works for you. You can go back to the home page and check other versions of the car. Good luck.
