what kind of engine is in a 1967 shelby gt350

Sorry i was wrong. the 1967 was built with the hi performance 289. It was rated at 306HP @ 6000 rpm. It had a Cobra aluminum high rise intake manifold and a holley four-barrell. It was replaced in 1968 with the 302.

yeah I just wanted to see how this thing worked. However in the original 67. Some mustangs came with 302 block and 289 heads. This happened because it was the conversion year. Thanks guys

Hopped up K code 289 with solid lifters. The standard high out put K code 289 had 271 HP. The shelby cars where bumped up to 305.
