On my 1987 mustange, I can't get my injectors to open up, any ideas???

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Actually this mustange is a 1995 that I have swapped the motor out for a 1987 5.0 GT HO.  I drove it for three years and it ran great.  Then I have to let it sit for about a month and when I went out to start it it wouldn't run.  It would idle but as soon as you hit the gas it started spitting and sputtering.  Eventually it quit all together, it wont even start now.  I have narrowed it down to one problem, the injectors are not opening to let fuel in.  Any ideas on what the problem may be????

Hello, When the car sat for a month, what was left in the fuel lines most likely got built-up and solidified. The build-up may be prefenting the injectors for opening. You will need to clean the engines, and probably do a full flush to knock out any other problems. Best of luck! CarGrrl
