WHAT CAN I REASONABLY ASK FOR A 1988 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE LX FOUR-CYLINDER 86 Hp MODEL PURCHASED NEW BY ITS SOLE EVER OWNER (NOW IN HIS LATE 70S) DRIVEN 38000 M AS 'SECOND CAR' DURING VACATIONS?
THE MUSTANG BOUGHT BRAND NEW IN NY STATE WAS BROUGHT TO SPAIN WHERE THE OWNER OWNS A VACATION PROPERTY AND WAS REGISTERED THERE IN 1998. IT WAS ONLY EVER DRIVEN BY ITS MATURE OWNER ON THE OCCASIONAL EXCURSION. IT WAS REVIEWED BY MECHANICS AND UNDER COVER BETWEEN MID-SEPTEMBER AND MID JUNE DURING OWNER'S ABSENCES FROM SPAIN. IN 2008 SOMEONE VANDALISED ITS CONVERTIBLE ROOF. THE DAMAGE WAS COVERED BY INSURANCE AND THE VEHICLE HAD IT REPLACED WITH A BRAND NEW ONE. TWO YEARS AGO IT SUFFERED A MINOR ACCIDENT IN A PARKING LOT WHEN ANOTHER PARKING VEHICLE BACKED INTO IT AND DAMAGED THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FRONT BUMPER.
Since it has some damage, I would say it is in Fair condition. In the states, it would be worth around $1100, as most of the cost would be for someone to salvage the parts for use with a 5.0L engine. So no clue as to how much it would be worth in Spain.
