WHAT DOES THE LX MEAN ON A FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE 1988
I OWN A FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE WITH THE VIM CODE:
THE CAR IS NOW REGSIETERED IN SPAIN
I HAVE A BUYER WHO WANTS TO KNOW WHAT THE "LX" STANDS FOR IN THE MODEL DESCRIPTION
cAN ANYONE TELL ME, PLEASE?
It just stand,s for a certain model you have,no true meaning to the letter,s,,such as the LX,GT,GTS,it is just based to let them know what trim and acessorie,s the car has.
T_S_T is right, the LX is a trim package designator, but in this case LX is the base model Mustang with the 4cyl engine. Unless you have the Vert with the 5.0L engine option.
They both are right, LX means it a luxury trim, but you could still combine it with the 4.6, or 5.0 Drive train, depending on the year you where ordering...hope this helps
Two 1993 LX's the grey one up above, and this red one here......
The LX is a luxury trim, but whats nice about is that you could order one with a V8, and 4 speed, and avoid the insurance rates of a GT!!!
