I have a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo we just replaced
the air compressor and the air will blow cold for a
few minutes than it will start blowing hot and it
makes a clicking nose behind where the air
controls are also the air light will flash it will go
back on cold than hot again like its shutting it off
and on

Check your AC clutch relay. This same scenario happens on Toyotas when the MGCLT relay is bad.

Also do you have an electronic temperature selector? Sounds like the heater control door actuator behind your dash if it is not the relay.

the clicking noise is common and its called the blend door actuator they are typiclly around $30-$40 at parts store, there is 2 or 3 different ones behind the dash, one controls hot cold door, one controls recirculation, and one controls the mode. first thing to check is to make sure the r134a level is correct in the system if you have too much or too little gas in the air system it wont work perfectly
