2007 Chevrolet impala, has 2 cooling fans when the engine is off one of the fans continues to run draining the battery. I replaced one relay with the other problem continued. Checked the fan with the A/C off, ignition off fan still runs.
If your Impala is like my '00 Grand Prix you have 3 cooling fan relays. One for each fan, individually, and one for both fans to run together (high speed). The individual relays each have 4 pins and the high speed relay has 5 pins. All are located in the under hood fuse box. HTH. -Jim
Does it stay on when the engine is cold. If hot fans will run to cool down the shut off in several minutes.
The one fan will run on until the battery is dead, about six to eight hours. I think the engine is cool in about one hour or so.
